After appearing in just two games during his first season in College Park, Dyches appeared in all 13 games with two starts the following season where he caught 19 passes for 208 yards and four touchdowns.

He blossomed as an upperclassman for the Terrapins, earning Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honors in 2022 after recording 39 receptions for 494 yards and three touchdowns. Averaging 12.67 yards per reception and recording the second two-touchdown game of his career with two a pair of scores against Purdue.

Dyches posted a career-high 47 catches last season, which ranked fourth amongst FBS tight ends, along with 491 yards and two touchdowns to earn Third Team All-Big Ten honors from the media. Now joining the Golden Bears on a hot streak after recording a reception in 25 consecutive games during his time in Maryland.
