Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields taken to locker room

Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields has exited the game and gone to the locker room with an apparent injury. Fields suffered his injury in the third quarter, and Andy Dalton has since entered the game to replace him.
Fields had completed four of his 11 pass attempts for 79 yards before leaving the game. He also had four rushes for 23 yards. The Bears trailed the Baltimore Ravens 6-0 at the time of the injury.
The Bears tweeted that Fields is questionable to return due to a rib injury.
With Dalton in the game for the Bears, it has become a battle between backup quarterbacks. Ravens starter Lamar Jackson is out with an illness, leaving Tyler Huntley to start.
Dalton entered the game on the next Bears offensive possession. It took just two plays for him to lead the team 83 yards down the field. Dalton found Darnell Mooney for a 60-yard touchdown to give the Bears a 7-6 lead.

UPDATE: Fields was ruled out for the remainder of the game at around 3:32 p.m. ET.
Fields has seen mixed results since becoming the Bears starting quarterback
Andy Dalton initially won the Bears starting quarterback job, but it didn’t take long for Fields to take over. Since he did take over, Fields has been inconsistent but has shown flashes of his potential. Entering Sunday’s game, Fields had completed 59.4 percent of his passes for 1,282 yards, four touchdowns and eight interceptions. He has also rushed 52 times for 288 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 29 sacks.
Fields struggled when initially taking over as the Bears quarterback, but the former Ohio State star has played well over the previous two weeks. On Halloween against the 49ers, he threw for 175 yards, one touchdown and one interception but added 103 rushing yards and another score on the ground. Two weeks ago, he threw for 291 yards and added 45 more in a close loss to the Steelers.
The Bears are currently 3-6 on the season. Now, the hope turns to Fields, Chicago’s 11th overall pick in the last NFL Draft.
