College Basketball Rankings: AP Poll Top 25 updated after Week 6
The latest college basketball AP Poll Top 25 rankings are here following Week 5 of the regular season! We got some more movement, as we should get every week!
Arizona again added to its resume with a win over Alabama, cementing itself as the No. 1 team for another week. Meanwhile, the rest of the Top 10 of the AP Poll held steady throughout the past week to keep things relatively similar up top.
Without further ado, let’s dive into the latest AP Poll top 25 rankings. We’ll start with the top team in college basketball.
1. Arizona
The Wildcats improved to 9-0 on the season with a dominant 96-75 win over Alabama. The Crimson Tide came in ranked No. 12 in the game.
Brayden Burries had 28 points, seven rebounds and two assists in the win. Motiejus Krivas added 14 points, 14 rebounds and one assist.
2. Michigan

Michigan went 2-0 with dominant wins this week, beating Villanova 89-61 and Maryland 101-83. At 10-0, the Wolverines definitely have an argument to be the top team in the AP Poll.
In the win over the Terrapins, Yaxel Lendeborg had 29 points, eight rebounds and nine assists. Aday Mara had 18 points, three rebounds and four assists.
3. Duke
Duke had the entire week off since the last AP Poll drop, so nothing changed with the Blue Devils. They are currently 10-0 on the season.
On Tuesday, Duke will host Lipscomb before hosting a solid Texas Tech team on Saturday. This week promises to be challenging once again!
4. Iowa State
What a time to be an Iowa State basketball fan. They’re high up the AP Poll and now 11-0 on the season following a 78-53 win over Eastern Illinois.
In the win over the Panthers, Milan Momcilovic led the way with 18 points and five rebounds. Blake Buchanan added 14 points, six rebounds and two assists.
5. UConn

UConn had a good week, beating a ranked Florida team and then Texas at home on Tuesday and Friday. They’re firmly in the top 10 of the AP Poll.
In the win over Texas, Alex Karaban had 18 points, four rebounds and two assists. Tarris Reed Jr. added 12 points, six rebounds and five assists.
6. Purdue
Purdue is now 10-1 and after falling in the AP Poll the other week, the Boilermakers have righted the ship with wins over Minnesota and Marquette. They won by 18 and 20 points, respectively.
In the win over the Golden Eagles, Oscar Cluff had 22 points, 11 rebounds and one assist. Fletcher Loyer added 15 points and an assist.

7. Gonzaga (+1)
Gonzaga earned a ranked win over UCLA on Saturday, 82-72 and stayed in the top 10 of the AP Poll. The Bulldogs are now 10-1 on the season.
Graham Ike had 25 points, five rebounds and five assists in the victory. Braden Huff added 21 points and four rebounds.
8. Houston (-1)

Houston is also now 10-1 on the season with dominant non-conference wins over Jackson State and New Orleans. This is easily a top 10 team in the AP Poll.
Beating New Orleans 99-57, four players put up 15 points a piece. Next up is a road date with Arkansas on Saturday.
9. Michigan State
Michigan State avoided an upset against Penn State on the road to stay in the top 10 of the AP Poll. The Spartans edged out the Nittany Lions 76-72.
In the win, Divine Ugochukwu had 23 points, one rebound and one assist. Carson Cooper and Jaxon Kohler added 10 points apiece.
10. BYU
BYU kept it rolling with a 100-53 win over UC Riverside. They are now 9-1 on the season and still in the top 10 of the AP Poll.
In the win, AJ Dybantsa had 26 points, eight rebounds and seven rebounds. Richie Saunders added 19 points, five rebounds and two assists
