College Football Playoff: Kick times, broadcast information revealed for 2025 First Round

The College Football Playoff kick times and broadcast information for the 2025 First Round has been announced. It’ll be the second season of the 12-team iteration of the CFP, after the resounding success that last season’s chase for the title was.
Check out the times and broadcast information below. A triple-header on Saturday, Dec. 20 gets all the fun started, as it’s bound to feature some exhilarating action.
First Round
- Fri, Dec. 19 – 8:00 PM (ET): CFP First-Round Game — ABC & ESPN
- Sat, Dec. 20 – 12:00 PM (ET): CFP First-Round Game — ABC & ESPN
- Sat, Dec. 20 – 3:30 PM (ET): CFP First-Round Game — TNT, truTV & Max
- Sat, Dec. 20 – 7:30 PM (ET): CFP First-Round Game — TNT, truTV & Max
Quarterfinals
- Wed, Dec. 31 – 7:30 PM: Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic — ESPN
- Thu, Jan. 1 – 12:00 PM: Capital One Orange Bowl — ESPN
- Thu, Jan. 1 – 4:00 PM: Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential — ESPN
- Thu, Jan. 1 – 8:00 PM: Allstate Sugar Bowl — ESPN
Semifinals
- Thu, Jan. 8 – 7:30 PM: Vrbo Fiesta Bowl — ESPN
- Fri, Jan. 9 – 7:30 PM: Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl — ESPN
National Championship
- Mon, Jan. 19 – 7:30 PM: College Football Playoff National Championship — ESPN
As you can see, it’ll all culminate on Jan. 19 with the national championship, which will take place in Miami at Hard Rock Stadium. No CFP games will take place on a Saturday outside of the First Round this coming season.

Moreover, the Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl will be the host sites for the quarterfinals, while the semifinals take place at the Fiesta Bowl and Peach Bowl on two separate days. The CFP first round games will be at the higher seed’s home site, just like last season’s.
Time will tell which teams make the dance, but it seems like Ohio State is headed back there, barring an epic collapse. The Buckeyes perfected the championship chase last season, and they’ll be hoping for back-to-back wins in the 12-team playoff when the time comes in December.
