Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt released his updated Top 10 rankings across college football with a chance within the top five teams! There were upsets this week, so expect some fresh blood on this list, as revealed on his podcast.

Klatt kept some of the same teams from last week, especially at the top. But teams like Penn State and Texas are nowhere to be found after Week 6.

So without further ado, let’s dive into the latest college football rankings from Klatt. We begin with the best!

1. Ohio State

Ohio State dominated their way to a 42-3 win over Minnesota at home, topping Klatt’s rankings once again. The Buckeyes are now 5-0 on the season.

Julian Sayin threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns, putting up another awesome stat line. Carnell Tate had 183 yards and a score while Jeremiah Smith had two touchdown receptions.

2. Oregon

The Ducks had a week off but stayed in the No. 2 spot in Klatt’s rankings this week. They’ll host Indiana this weekend in a top 10 matchup, per the AP Poll.

That’ll be quite the game to watch considering another Oregon win might make them the top team in the country. Dante Moore is a Heisman contender and the defense is ferocious.

3. Miami

Miami looked like it was going to roll to a victory over Florida State but had to hang on for dear life. Still, the Hurricanes won on the road and remained undefeated.

So with that, Klatt kept them at No. 3 in the country. Carson Beck was great with 241 yards and four touchdowns on the night.

4. Texas A&M

After not being ranked in the top 10 by Klatt a couple of weeks ago, this is the second straight week being No. 4 for Texas A&M. The Aggies remained unbeaten by defeating Mississippi State 31-9 at home.

Marcel Reed had 180 yards, two touchdowns, one interception and a rushing touchdown. Reuben Owens ran for 142 yards to lead the way on the ground.

5. Ole Miss (+1)

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin is never short on supply of jokes, and he had plenty after a 24-19 win against No. 4 LSU on Saturday.

Klatt moved Ole Miss up one spot in his top 10 this week despite the Rebels being on a bye week. They are 5-0 and coming off a win over LSU and get Washington State at home this week.

Trinidad Chambliss looks like the starting QB, unless Lane Kiffin has a late switch up his sleeve at this point. But everything’s clicking right now in Oxford.

6. Indiana (+1)

The Hoosiers were another team on a bye week that was moved up by Klatt. Indiana had a close call against Iowa, but otherwise looked just as good as last year, if not better.

This coming weekend will be their biggest test as Curt Cignetti and crew head to Eugene to take on Oregon. If they win that one, it might be time to move Indiana up close to the top.

7. Alabama (+1)

The comeback from Alabama dating back to post-Week 1 is amazing right? Or is it just typical Alabama at this point? The Crimson Tide moved up Klatt’s rankings after their fourth straight win.

This time, Kalen DeBoer and crew shut down Vanderbilt 30-14 as the Commodores dropped from the ranks of the unbeaten. Ty Simpson threw for 340 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

8. Texas Tech (NR)

Texas Tech makes an appearance in the Klatt top 10 this week following another win. The Red Raiders have been impressive and they dominated a 4-0 Houston team 35-11 to improve to 5-0 on the year.

Behren Morton returned from injury and threw for 345 yards and a touchdown. J’Koby William had 107 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

9. Georgia (+1)

Georgia rebounded after losing to Alabama by beating Kentucky 35-14 at home. It was the kind of get-right game the Bulldogs needed.

So with that, Klatt bumped them up one spot this week. Next week, Georgia heads to Auburn before hosting Ole Miss for a massive rest of the month.

10. Oklahoma (NR)

Oklahoma is in the top 10 this week per Klatt after a 44-0 win over Kent State. Michael Hawkins filled in nicely at QB for the injured John Mateer as well.

There’s no guarantee that Mateer is back this week for Red River against Texas. But Hawkins threw three touchdowns and ran for another so perhaps the Sooners can still beat the Longhorns without the impact transfer.
