Colorado offensive lineman Cash Cleveland plans to enter NCAA transfer portal

According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Colorado offensive lineman Cash Cleveland plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal. Cleveland just wrapped up his first season in Boulder, playing in game games. The final four contests saw him as the starting center.
On3 was the only service to rank Cleveland coming out of Rockwall (TX) Rockwall-Heath. He was a three-star prospect and the No. 396 player from the Lone Star State. Considered an interior offensive lineman, Cleveland was 276th at the position.
Colorado welcomed Cleveland into the program as a walk-on. Per his official school bio, he was the first-ever walk-on to start at center for the Buffaloes. Oct. 19, in a win against Arizona, is when Cleveland made his debut before going out there with the starters on Nov. 16 vs. Utah.
“It was awesome,” Cleveland said of his playing time ahead of the Utah game. “I always stay prepared. I study a lot of film. In meetings, I’m always 100% focused and locked in and I study like I’m a first-string (player), so when my number got called, I was ready for the moment. Didn’t blink at all.”
Cleveland was named to On3’s 2024 true freshman All-American team. He joined soon-to-be former Colorado teammate and former Five-Star Plus+ prospect Jordan Seaton with the honors. Head coach Deion Sanders has never been afraid to put true freshman on the field, even with his own son back there at quarterback.

Unfortunately, Sanders will now have to find a new center moving forward. Cleveland is set to depart the program and look for a new opportunity elsewhere. A young player with a ton of potential will soon hit the open market.
Colorado loses wide receiver Adrian Wilson to North Carolina
Former Colorado WR Adrian Wilson has committed to transfer to North Carolina, On3 has learned. That news comes per On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Thursday.
Wilson has been committed to TCU, Oregon, Arizona State, and Colorado over the past two years on the recruiting trail with several decommitments and flips. However, coming out of his first spring period, this will be his first to do so in the transfer portal, as, after entering yesterday, Wilson has committed less than a day later to UNC.
Because of that, Wilson will never see any action for the Buffaloes. He’ll now, though, coming from Boulder to Chapel Hill, have four years of collegiate eligibility left.
