Who doesn’t love a good buzzer beater? Purdue Fort Wayne got to celebrate one of their own versus Wright State on Sunday afternoon in one of the most exciting finishes of the college basketball season.

Wright State guard Trey Calvin hit a jump shot with three seconds remaining in the game that gave his squad a one-point, 75-74 lead over Purdue FW. With just two seconds left in the ball game and no timeouts left for the Mastodons, enters Damian Chong Qui.

Chong Qui took the ball up the court, picking up his dribble just beyond half-court, and threw up a three-point attempt prayer that was answered. Chong Qui’s shot went in, giving Purdue FW a 77-75 win that sent Allen County War Memorial Coliseum into a frenzy.

Chong Qui had only made one of his six three-point attempts in the game, making a second when it mattered the very most. He ended the game with 16 points and helped snap a four-game losing streak for the Mastodons, while also creating a memory that will be hard for Purdue FW fans to forget any time soon.
