Deion Sanders evaluates performance of Shedeur Sanders as dad, coach
Deion Sanders evaluated his son Shedeur Sanders’ performance over the course of three games and he loves what he sees.
The Colorado quarterback’s been great again, except for one pass, according to Coach Prime. Deion Sanders has to balance the coach and dad roles with Shedeur, and Shilo too.
But as long as Shedeur Sanders is playing, Colorado has a chance to win the ball game.
“Shedeur has played great, except for one pass. That’s it,” Sanders said. “I don’t know how else to say it. He’s played great. He’s been consistently Shedeur, except for one pass. The thing about him, everyone in here, but maybe a couple of y’all, you know when the ball (is) in his hands, we got a chance.
“Everybody here knows that, right? Except for a couple haters. You know that. But I’m not directing that at nobody. That’s just how I talk. I’m sorry, I’m not directing it at nobody.”

Balancing the dad and coach role for Deion Sanders is critical. He even admitted he’s probably a little tougher on his son than any other player.
“But everybody on the team feels that way,” Sanders said. “Nobody sits down and that last drive that we have the ball, everybody on the sideline is up. They know we got a shot. So I’m pleased with him. I’m critical, because I’m dad as well as coach. On the dad side, I know certain things that he could do better. On the coach side, I’m like, alright, we got to do this, this, this, this, this, and you got to do this, this, this. You know, I’m a little more in depth. (As Dad), I’m probably a little tough on him, tougher on him than anybody.”
This season (four games), Sanders has 1,340 yards, 11 touchdowns, two interceptions and a 67.9% completion percentage. He’s on pace to pass his totals from last year, across the board.
The Sanders clan and Colorado are back in action this weekend UCF Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
