Detroit Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson records first-career interception

When the Detroit Lions took Aidan Hutchinson with the second overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, they knew he could change their defense. But what he did on Sunday against an NFL legend might not have been predicted by many.
On 4th and goal to start the second quarter, the Packers looked like they were about to take a touchdown lead. A play-action left offensive lineman David Bakhtiari open in the end zone. Rodgers threw to him but Hutchinson jumped the route and picked it off.
You can see the vide of Hutchinson’s interception below. It was the second interception of the game for Rodgers.
Hutchinson has started all seven games for Detroit this season and recorded 18 tackles in that time. In his rookie season, Hutchinson has totaled 4.5 sacks and three tackles for loss.

Hutchinson had an outstanding final season on the Michigan defensive line, recording 62 total tackles on the season. Hutchinson was also a menace for opposing offensive lines, totaling 14 sacks against opposing quarterbacks. The Wolverines got an impressive three-sack effort from Hutchinson in a win over Ohio State, which helped them make the College Football Playoff.
A four-star prospect in the 2018 recruiting class, Hutchinson broke out as a sophomore in 2019, recording 69 tackles (10 for loss) and 3.5 sacks. Hutchinson earned Third Team All-Big Ten honors that season and then, after a COVID-riddled 2020 season, was a member of the All-Big Ten First Team and unanimous All-American in 2021.
The Lions have struggled this season once again to turn things around under head coach Dan Campbell. Detroit fought Philadelphia close in Week 1 and then beat Washington in Week 2, but things have gone south since then. The Lions are currently 1-6 overall and in last place in the division.
