Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Arch Manning – the No. 1 football recruit in the Class of 2023 – said recently at the City of Palms basketball tournament that he’s “open to everywhere.”

He also told On3’s Joe Tipton a decision will not be coming any time soon. However, the On3 Prediction Machine indicates one team is trending on his list heading into the new year.

The RPM gives the Georgia Bulldogs a 35.6% chance of landing Arch Manning. Alabama is listed second with a 27.5% chance. Texas, who was considered an early favorite for Manning, is third with a 19.5% chance. Ole Miss is listed fourth at 11.4%, followed by Clemson at 3.4% and LSU at 1.2%.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine was released to the public three weeks ago. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. Expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation. But at this point, there have been zero predictions on where Arch Manning will end up by recruiting insiders.

Even though it’s still early in the process, Georgia fans must be thrilled the early calculations are projecting the Dawgs to win the recruiting battle for Manning.

Arch Manning was busy this fall

This fall, Arch Manning took game day visits to Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Texas and Ole Miss. That group has been considered his unofficial “top five,” though a new program could enter the mix. Manning said Oklahoma, which hired Ole Miss offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby, could be a school he’s open to.

“I’m open to everywhere,” Manning said. “I haven’t narrowed anything down, so I’m just taking it one day at a time.”

The Sooners’ rival, Texas, has been considered the leader to land Arch Manning at different points because of his relationship with head coach Steve Sarkisian.

The two first connected when Sarkisian was at Alabama, and their bond has only grown since then. But the Longhorns pulled off a huge coup by landing 2022 No. 1 overall prospect Quinn Ewers after he transferred from Ohio State a few weeks ago.

Ewers is expected to compete for the starting spot this spring and would have a minimum of two years of eligibility remaining with the Longhorns. Manning said that won’t affect his decision on whether he ends up in Austin, though.

“I think there are going to be good players everywhere,” Manning said. “You can’t really look at it based off other players and depth charts. I think you just have to find the best place for you. … He’s a really good player. I stay in touch with him. He’s a good guy. I’m excited to see what he can do this year and hear all about it.”

Arch Manning also said in the recent interview that Ole Miss remains in contention. He’ll also be at the Sugar Bowl to watch the Rebels.
