Lyles Jr. works as a reporter for some of ESPN’s Thursday night games and works with College GameDay. ESPN has pulled Lyles Jr. from this weekend’s broadcasts.
Lyles Jr. tweeted an apology after news broke of his arrest.

The Los Angeles Police Department Hollywood Division tweeted on Sunday that a police vehicle was rear ended at a crosswalk while waiting for a pedestrian to cross. Lyles Jr. has been confirmed by a LAPD spokesperson as the driver involved in this incident. His bail was set at $100,000 and he was released on bond. He is due in court in February.
“Last night, two of our officers were stopped at a marked crosswalk as a pedestrian crossed the street,” LAPD Hollywood tweeted. “While they were stopped, a vehicle rear ended the back of their car. The driver of that vehicle was nearly 3 x the legal limit and subsequently arrested.”
