ESPN College GameDay going to South Carolina for Week 3 showdown with LSU

ESPN’s College GameDay is making a return to Columbia, South Carolina, for the first time in a decade, the show announced on Saturday evening. South Carolina is set to host LSU.
South Carolina is coming off a romp over Kentucky and 2-0. LSU is likely to enter 1-1, leading late against Nicholls when the location was announced.

The two programs haven’t faced each other since 2020, when the Tigers defeated the Gamecocks by a score of 55-24 in Baton Rouge. In total, LSU and South Carolina have faced each other 22 times, with the Tigers winning 19 of them, and one tie happening in 1995.
