ESPN College GameDay: Picks for Saturday's Army-Navy Game

ESPN College GameDay was on-sight for one of college football’s timeless traditions on Saturday, in New England for the Army-Navy Game.
This season’s iteration is the 124th annual meeting. Navy currently leads the all-time series with a record of 62-54-7, and Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Lee Corso and Rece Davis were looking to see if the Midshipmen would add to their total, or if the Black Knights could get the victory.
Both teams enter this weekend’s showdown with a record of 5-6. Army’s amassed some huge wins, with victories over UTSA, Air Force and Coastal Carolina, while Navy has defeated squads like East Carolina, UAB and Charlotte throughout the 2023 season. Only one team will be able to even their record at 6-6 though.
Moreover, ESPN brought one of the New England area’s legends to town as their Celebrity Guest Picker, as New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick came to the set.
It hasn’t been a good season for Belichick’s Patriots, but New England is coming off a huge win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football, so they caught the iconic coach on a great weekend.

“I’m looking forward to it,” Belichick said, regarding his status as Celebrity Guest Picker on College GameDay during an appearance on the show. “I can’t wait to see Coach Corso again. He’s a hero of mine as a coach. I just loved the way he coaches. Aggressiveness, his style. I’m really looking forward to seeing Lee again.”
Additionally, we’ll crown a new member of the Heisman fraternity on Saturday, as well. Quarterbacks dominate the conversation in Oregon’s Bo Nix, Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. and LSU’s Jayden Daniels, Ohio State’s resident wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will be pining for the award as well, and only one will be enshrined in college football lore for eternity.
Alas, there’s a ton of hype for Saturday’s always memorable showdown, and we’re all waiting to see who takes home the Heisman. The College GameDay crew has locked in their picks. Here’s who they’re riding with on Saturday for the Army-Navy Game.
