An electric morning is about to give way to a tremendous afternoon of college football, but first the ESPN College GameDay crew had to make their picks.

On hand for a huge showdown involving the undefeated TCU Horned Frogs traveling to Austin to take on the Texas Longhorns, College GameDay picked a good one on Saturday.

The Big 12 showdown will have gigantic College Football Playoff implications. With TCU undefeated and looking to have an inside track on one of the four tickets to the dance if they win out, every game is a playoff game for the Horned Frogs.

Meanwhile, the Longhorns have been playing at a high level since the return of quarterback Quinn Ewers to the lineup. Entering the showdown against TCU, Ewers and company are riding the wave of defeating Kansas State by a score of 34-27, giving a Wildcats team that has been one of the pleasant surprises of the season their third loss.

While Steve Sarkisian was widely expected to be the one to rebuild Texas into a contender since taking his talents to the Longhorns, Sonny Dykes is actually doing it at TCU since taking over the program at the start of the season. Dykes is enjoying an awesome start to his tenure, and Sarkisian and company would love nothing more than to deliver the Horned Frogs their first loss since he took over the team.

Meanwhile, the crew made a fantastic decision with their guest on Saturday, choosing to bring on pro golfer Jordan Spieth to be this week’s celebrity guest picker.

Spieth attended the University of Texas and is a three-time major championship winner. Simply one of the best golfers in the game, and a great choice for the guest picker spot.

Unfortunately, the show was missing something once again, as Lee Corso was unable to return to the set again on Saturday.

“Lee Corso still recuperating, hope that he’s continuing to recover and hope that he’ll be back with us really soon,” stated College GameDay Host Rece Davis.

Nevertheless, the crew of Desmond HowardPat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit will make Corso proud. Here’s who they have winning the biggest matchups that can shape the remainder of the season on Saturday.

ESPN College GameDay picks for Week 11:

TCU at Texas: Howard started off by angering the crowd by picking the Horned Frogs, but McAfee and Speith riled them back up by rocking with the Longhorns. Herbstreit is calling the game so he didn’t make a pick, but he made sure to mention that Lee Corso is riding with Texas in spirit.

LSU at Arkansas: The Tigers are on fire, but Speith is thinking upset, as the star golfer is the lone dissenter riding with the Razorbacks.

Alabama at Ole Miss: While the crew believes, it’ll be close, everyone is riding with the Crimson Tide to bounce back.

Kansas State at Baylor: Everyone sans Speith is on the Bears.

Washington at Oregon: Speith is rocking with Michael Penix Jr. and the Huskies, but the rest of the crew is on the Ducks.

Purdue at Illinois: Herbstreit is the only one who thinks the Boilermakers get the victory.

UCF at Tulane: McAfee thinks it’s the end of the run for the Green Wave, but Howard, Speith and Herbstreit are believers in Tulane.

North Carolina at Wake Forest: Most of the crew believes in the Tar Heels, but Herbstreit is rocking with the demon deacons.

Louisville at Clemson: The Tigers are coming off a demoralizing loss last weekend, and everyone sans McAfee believes Dabo Swinney will bounce back.

Florida State at Syracuse: Herbstreit is the lone believer in the Orange for the ACC showdown.
