ESPN College GameDay: Picks for Week 9, Missouri at Vanderbilt

ESPN brought College GameDay to Nashville. It might’ve been unheard-of over the past couple of seasons, but the spotlight was on Vanderbilt ahead of their showdown with Missouri in Week 9.
The Commodores are led by the charismatic Diego Pavia at quarterback, but the Tigers will represent a huge test for Vanderbilt. If Pavia can lead his team to a win though, his Heisman odds will continue to get shorter, and the College Football Playoff will become less of a pipe dream in Nashville.
With that in mind, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee and Celebrity Guest Picker Nate Bargatze are ready to lock in their predictions. Check them out in full below, and see if you agree with their commentary for Saturday’s top showdowns.
ESPN College GameDay Picks for Week 9:
Missouri at Vanderbilt: Howard picked Missouri, much to the chagrin of the capacity crowd in Nashville. The cheers followed afterwards, as everyone else rode with the Commodores.
Ole Miss at Oklahoma: Howard and Bargatze believe in the Rebels. Saban, McAfee and Herbstreit are on the Sooners.
BYU at Iowa State: The whole crew believes in the Cougars. We’ll see if they regret this one.
Texas A&M at LSU: Herbstreit is calling the game later tonight, so he’s not making a pick. Everyone but Bargatze is on the Aggies.
Texas at Mississippi State: Howard and Saban think the Longhorns lose in Starkville. Everyone else is on the Longhorns.
Minnesota at Iowa: Only Bargatze believes in the Golden Gophers. We’ll see if he’s rowing the boat after this one.
North Dakota State at South Dakota State: McAfee is riding with South Dakota State. However, the rest of the crew is on the Bison.
