For one weekend, Long Island Lutheran’s Dylan Mingo proved that he is the best of the best by claiming the NBPA Top 100 camp Most Valuable Player Award. The senior from New York won the individual recognition after averaging 23.8 points, 6.8 assists, and 6.5 rebounds in four games.

At one game during the camp, Mingo finished with 30 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds. He also had back-to-back 29-point games against some of the top high school basketball prospects in the nation. Meanwhile, his numbers helped Team Thomas go undefeated when he played.

Mingo is a five-star point guard who ranks seventh among the Class of 2026 prospects. His 98.49 On3 Industry Ranking makes him the best PG among high school basketball seniors. That distinction will help him land in a prestigious college basketball program.

Last season, Dylan Mingo helped Long Island Lutheran finish with a 22-7 record. After starting the season at 2-5, he and the Crusaders went 19-2 since. Mingo and the Crusaders also played in the inaugural Nike EYBL Scholastic championship game, but lost to Link Academy.

In that tournament, Mingo ranked 11th in points (13.3), 13th in rebounds (5.6), and 10th in assists (3.3) per game. He also shot 44.2 percent from the field and converted 75.3 percent of his free throws.

While Mingo remains uncommitted, he is already fielding several NCAA Division 1 offers. As posted on his X/Twitter account, he received offers from Connecticut, Virginia, Penn State, Syracuse, USC, and Oklahoma just in June. Mingo also has earlier offers from North Carolina, Louisville, Texas, Alabama, and Illinois, among others.

Meanwhile, aside from Dylan Mingo, Taylen Kinney, Baba Oladotun, Aziz Olajuwon, Deron Rippey, and Qayden Samuels earned NBPA Top 100 First Team All-Camp honors. Oladotun is the second-best prospect among incoming high school basketball juniors behind C.J. Rosser.
