5-star QB Dante Moore invited to Elite 11 Finals
Detroit (Mich.) King quarterback Dante Moore has established himself as one of the country’s premier passers over the past year. The five-star has amassed offers from all over the country, including Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, LSU and Florida. And although he might not have the name recognition of peers like Arch Manning and Nico Iamaleava, Moore continues to impress everyone who sees him live.
Saturday was no different, as Moore, the nation’s No. 9 overall prospect, picked up an invite to the prestigious Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles this summer.
Few invitations mean as much as the Elite 11 Finals do to high school quarterbacks. The event, which will celebrate its 23rd year in 2022, brings together the country’s elite signal-callers for four days of competition and training from former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer and a host of others.
Elite 11 alumni include Carson Palmer, Andrew Luck, Matthew Stafford, Tim Tebow, and more recently Trevor Lawrence, C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young and more. Last year’s Elite 11 Finals featured 13 of the top 20 quarterbacks in the final 2022 On3 Consensus Rankings, including each of the top six players at the position.
As invites go out over the next few months after Elite 11 Regionals across the country, we’re tracking the prospects who — barring injury or schedule conflict — will head to Los Angeles in late June and compete for the title of the country’s top quarterback in the 2023 class.

“Pocket passer who is one of the more accurate and efficient quarterbacks in the 2023 cycle. Skilled as a touch passer with the ability to layer throws and deliver with accuracy and nuance. Has a quick, natural release that aids in the short passing and RPO game. Shows a good arm both on video and in camp settings. Capable of hitting on deep shots off of play action. Put together a highly efficient and productive junior season in leading Martin Luther King to a state title while completing 73 percent of his passes for over 3,000 yards and 40 touchdowns against three interceptions. Does not appear to be quite the athlete or run threat as some of the other top quarterbacks in the cycle at this time.
