Florida Gators move up in team recruiting rankings after flipping Miami commit

After flipping Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin four-star safety Hylton Stubbs away from rival Miami, Florida has risen three spots to No. 11 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Stubbs had been committed to the Hurricanes since the Fourth of July, when he joined the class after decommitting from Southern Cal. Now, he’s heading to Miami’s SEC rival.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Stubbs joins his high school teammate and former Florida State quarterback commit Tramell Jones in Gainesville. Jones pledged to the Gators earlier this month, just days after decommitting from the Seminoles.
Stubbs is the No. 58 overall prospect and No. 4 safety in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 8 player in Florida.
Gators continue to flip top prospects
In the last three weeks, Florida has flipped a whopping 11 recruits — seven of whom are rated as four-star prospects.
