Four schools make list for 4-star IOL Avery Gach

Franklin (Mich.) Wylie E. Groves four-star interior offensive lineman Avery Gach has narrowed his list to four schools: Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Wisconsin.

Gach is the nation’s No. 252 overall prospect, No. 19 interior offensive lineman and No. 2 recruit from Michigan in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He has been one of the Wolverines’ top offensive line targets in the 2025 class, and that only increased when Sherrone Moore took over as the Wolverines’ head coach.

The in-state standout has been to Ann Arbor on nearly a dozen occasions, and the proximity to home and offensive line development at Michigan have been major factors for him.

On Monday, On3’s Steve Wiltfong logged a pick in favor of U-M in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

“Gach is expected at Michigan’s spring game and the Wolverines are trending even after recent trips to Michigan State and Ohio State,” he wrote in explaining his pick. “Gach’s recruitment could soon be coming to a close. Sherrone Moore has been the lead recruiter from the start, and Gach has been in Ann Arbor countless times.”

Michigan now holds a 94.4 percent chance of landing his commitment, per the RPM.

No commitment scheduled yet for Gach

Gach has yet to decide a date when he’ll announce a verbal commitment, but the plan remains to shut down his recruitment once official visits are completed.

“The biggest thing for me is a school that can develop me, and I want to play as early as I can when I get there,” Gach told TheWolverine.com’s Zach Libby earlier this month. “So a school, if I didn’t play football there, would I really want to be there as a student? That’s a big thing for me. A place where the culture is high and I feel comfortable with the coaching staff. A place where all my friends and family can watch all my home games and be able to come to all my games.”
