Four-Star WR Nathaniel Joseph commits to Miami

Four-star wide receiver Nathaniel Joseph of Miami (Fla.) Edison High announced his commitment to Miami Tuesday evening.
The 5-foot-9, 170 pounder chose the Canes over Louisville, Alabama, Texas A&M, and Clemson.
Joseph on why he chose Miami
“Miami is home,” Joseph said. “I loved everything Miami has to offer and how they recruited me day in and day out. Also I love how coach Gattis plans to use me in his offense.”
“I felt comfortable being with Miami players and Miami coaches, and just being home. I want to bring a national championship back to my hometown and want to bring that swagger back to UM. Why put on for someone else, when I can put on for my own hometown?”

Nathaniel Joseph on he and Jaden Rashada’s Relationship
“He is a major pick up for the program,” Joseph said. “The thing Jaden can bring to the table is incredible, and I’m glad he gets to be my QB because I’m going to need someone to help me break some records. We have talked often since he committed, because as soon as he committed he started recruiting me.”
Nathaniel Joseph Scouting Summary
“Cat-quick slot wide receiver who excels after the catch,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote. “Smaller in stature, measuring at around 5-foot-8, 170 pounds as a junior. Dynamic with the ball in his hands. Gets up to top speed quickly and has the lateral agility to make defenders miss in space. Runs with good balance and often spins out of tackles. A threat to score on touches in the quick game. Shows the play speed to pull away from secondaries when in the open field.”
“Has good ball skills for a smaller wide receiver and can elevate to come down with catches. Faces good competition in South Florida. Does not have verified speed. Older for the class, turning 18 years-old during his junior season.”
He currently ranks as the No. 119 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four recruiting sites. He also tabs in as the No. 19 wide receiver, and the No.25 player in the state of Florida.
