Florida State is on a hot streak on the recruiting trail. Three commitments over three days have left the ‘Noles with the No. 9 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Pensacola (Fla.) Pine Forest four-star offensive tackle Jonathan Daniels committed Thursday. Oviedo (Fla.) three-star offensive tackle Tye Hylton pledged to the Seminoles on Friday. And Tallahassee (Fla.) Florida State Univ. School four-star athlete Micahi Danzy announced his commitment Saturday.

But Florida State top-100 running back commit Kam Davis is not satisfied. He wants to add to Florida State’s No. 9 class with some of the nation’s premier recruits.

He took to Twitter to make his pitch to five-star recruits Charles Lester III and KJ Bolden, angling to bring the pair of five-stars to Tallahassee.

Florida State making late push for Bolden

Bolden is a five-star prospect ranked No. 8 overall in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is set to announce his college decision on August 5 and has taken official visits to Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State and Alabama.

But according to On3’s Chad Simmons, there has been a shift in Bolden’s recruitment. That shift is the surge from the coaching staff in Tallahassee.

“The school that has quickly become one to watch a little closer though is Florida State,” Simmons wrote this week. “In recent days, the buzz around the Seminoles has picked up significantly. According to a source, Mike Norvell‘s program, which was Bolden’s dream school, has become a true contender and one that is ascending up his list.

“As of July 13, I am not ready to put Florida State at the top of the list, but they are in a much better position than they looked to be a few weeks ago. There are still a lot of moving parts in the recruitment, and outside of Clemson, no others have been eliminated.

“There is still some level of confidence in Athens and Columbus, but the program in Tallahassee is picking up some steam late.”

FSU the favorite for Lester in RPM

As for Lester, Florida State is the current overwhelming favorite to land his commitment according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Florida State has a 90.8% chance to receive Lester’s pledge, per the RPM.

Lester officially visited Florida State in June and has taken multiple unofficial trips to the panhandle. He also officially visited Alabama, Colorado and Georgia.

“I mean, it ‘s one of a kind,” Lester told Warchant after his visit. “From the first time, I’ve felt that the love, the open arms they have had for me. But being able to come here over 10 times, it feels that vibe is stronger. (Patrick Surtain) is another guy that is a new guy on the staff, and we have a great feeling about each other.”
