Quarterback recruiting dominoes have already began to fall in the 2027 cycle. Eight junior blue-chip signal-callers have already committed, as of Sept. 3.

Fonda (N.Y.) Cheshire Academy four-star QB Keegan Croucher is working toward a decision, too. On Aug. 25, he tabbed Ole Miss, Oregon and Penn State as his three finalists.

Croucher has not locked in a commitment date just yet, as he plans to see each of his top contenders this fall. On Tuesday, though, the 6-foot-3, 185-pounder added another big-time offer to his list. Georgia is the latest to offer the four-star:

QB recruiting has been a whirlwind for the Bulldogs across the last few cycles. Between losing five-star Dylan Raiola to Nebraska ahead of signing day in the 2024 cycle to landing a second commitment from 2026 Five-Star Plus+ Jared Curtis this summer, Kirby Smart and Co. have been in the thick of some high-profile battles.

The Dawgs have not yet landed a commitment from a 2027 QB, but Croucher could become a name to know in Athens if he opts to entertain more than the three finalists he named last month. Croucher is the No. 119 overall prospect and No. 10 QB in the 2027 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies.

Georgia has two commits in its 2027 class to date: Long Beach Poly (Calif.) four-star cornerback Donte Wright and Murrieta (Calif.) Mater Dei three-star wide receiver Gavin Honore.

Croucher breaks down top three schools

Upon naming his finalists, Croucher broke down his interest in Ole Miss, Oregon and Penn State with Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett:

Ole Miss: “They jumped out right away. I really like their offense a lot, the coaching staff is awesome. They have a top offense every year. Everyone showed great hospitality while I was down there and even when I left. I’m in constant contact with them. I can definitely see myself developing and playing in their program.”

Penn State: “What I like about Penn State a lot is that they build the offense around the QB. I’ve been there 4 times now, and I know a lot of the people in the program. I’m in constant contact with them as well. It is also only a 4 hour drive from my hometown.”

Oregon: “The offense speaks for itself. What they’ve been able to do at the QB position is amazing. Oregon always brings in a top recruiting class year in year out. I’ve only been there once, but while I was there it was incredible to see everything they have to offer.”
