Georgia jumps LSU, Ohio State in On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings

Kirby Smart and the Georgia football staff are scolding hot on the recruiting trail this summer. Wednesday brought another big-time commitment.
Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County four-star running back Jae Lamar announced his pledge to UGA live on the On3 Recruits YouTube channel, choosing the in-state school over Auburn, Clemson, Miami and others.
Lamar, the No. 122 overall prospect and No. 9 RB in the 2026 cycle, is the 11th commitment of the month for Georgia. His pledge pushes the Bulldogs up two spots to No. 4 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
“Georgia is where I feel I can be my best at,” Lamar told On3’s Chad Simmons. “There are a lot of good people in that building. The people, my belief in how they will develop me, the coaching staff and the players made Georgia right for me. Everyone in that facility brings joy to my spirit. It is like I am home.”
UGA has now jumped LSU and Ohio State in the team rankings and is on pace to sign yet another top-three recruiting class. More commitments are likely en route, too.
June continues to treat Georgia’s recruiting efforts well
Georgia now has nine top-200 prospects in its 2026 class. Of those prospects, six have committed this month.
Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick, the younger brother of NFL DB Minkah Fitzpatrick, dropped a surprise pledge on June 3. He’s the No. 2 commit in the UGA class, behind just Nashville Christian Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Jared Curtis. Fitzpatrick is On3’s No. 4 corner.

South Garner (N.C.) four-star offensive tackle Ekene Ogboko is a classic Georgia lineman pledge. He chose UGA on June 18 and ranks as the nation’s No. 6 tackle. He’s one of four O-linemen in the class to date.
Brownsville (Tenn.) Haywood four-star cornerback Caden Harris is a top-100 recruit that flipped from Vanderbilt. Mobile (Ala.) Cottage Hill Christian four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle, the nation’s No. 12 LB, flipped from Auburn.
Bogart (Ga.) North Oconee four-star EDGE Khamari Brooks is just outside the top 100 nationally. He pledged on Monday and is one of six in-state blue-chippers committed to the Dawgs. Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County four-star safety Jordan Smith, a top-100 prospect, and Carrollton four-star athlete Ryan Mosley are others in the mix.
According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong, Georgia is trending for other major targets that are set to announce commitments in the coming days, too. The Dawgs will be in the chase for the nation’s No. 1 class once again this December.
