Before being hired at Western Kentucky in 2021, Crawford was a Georgia high school coach for 10 years, including as the co-offensive coordinator at Colquitt County and as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Valdosta.
While at the high school level, Crawford coached and developed players such as Jaheim Bell, who was a standout tight end at South Carolina before recently transferring to Florida State.
