Boise State video board trolls Hajj-Malik Williams, shows him where Boise is located on map

Ahead of the Mountain West Championship against Boise State, UNLV quarterback Hajj-Malik Williams said he didn’t know where Boise was on a map. As the Broncos held a commanding lead, they showed a troll on the video board showing him where the town is located.
After every sack and interception during Friday’s game, the video board zoomed in from outer space to Boise’s location on a map. It was quite the way to clap back at Williams as Boise State looked to win the Mountain West and seal a berth in the College Football Playoff.
Williams’ comments went viral ahead of the game. The rematch between UNLV and Boise State drew plenty of attention for its CFP implications, but those remarks added fuel to the fire.
“I don’t know what to expect, as far as the crowd at Boise. I’ve never been there. I don’t even know where it is on a map,” Williams said. “But I do know is communicating is always the key to victory. … So that’s been vital, whether it’s Week 1 to Week 12, 13. That’s the key to victory. As long as we’re all on the same page, I know we can execute at a high level.”

Boise State jumped out to a 21-0 lead at halftime of Friday’s Mountain West Championship and went on to seal the 21-7 victory in the final seconds. Heisman Trophy contender Ashton Jeanty once again led the way for a Broncos, rushing for 209 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown run in that first half.
UNLV struggled through the first two quarters, but made things interesting in the second half. Hajj-Malik Williams finished his day with 110 yards on 13-of-28 passing while adding 21 carries for 58 yards on the ground to help lead the offense.
With its victory, Boise State is now heading to the College Football Playoff as one of the five highest-ranked conference champions. But based on the penultimate rankings, the Broncos are in line for a bye as one of the four highest-ranked conference champions.
