Heisman Trophy: Full top 10 revealed, order announced for 5-10 in voting

With two days to go before the 2025 Heisman Trophy ceremony, the full Top 10 has been revealed. The Heisman Trophy Trust announced the four finalists earlier this week, and they will make the trip to New York for Saturday’s announcement.

Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia and Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin are the four finalists for college football’s most prestigious award. The ceremony will take place Saturday night and air on ABC for the first time.

Thursday night, the Heisman Trophy Trust announced the rest of the Top 10. Here is the full order for spots 5-10 in the voting. Total votes will be announced Saturday.

5. Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech

One of the top defensive players in college football, Texas Tech made the case for Jacob Rodriguez to be considered for the Heisman Trophy. While he’s not heading to New York, he still finished in the Top 10 in voting this year.

Rodriguez anchored a Red Raiders defense that fueled a run to a Big 12 title and College Football Playoff appearance. He totaled 117 tackles, including a Big 12-leading 61 solo stops, along with 11 tackles for loss, a sack, four interceptions and seven forced fumbles as a fifth-year senior.

6. Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State

After bursting onto the scene as a true freshman in 2024, Jeremiah Smith remained one of college football’s top playmakers in 2025. As a result, he finished in the Top 10 in the Heisman Trophy voting while teammate Julian Sayin heads to the ceremony.

Smith had another monster season this year to help Ohio State to the No. 2 seed in the College Football Playoff. He set a new career-high with 80 receptions while totaling 1,086 yards and 11 touchdowns through 12 games this year as he turns his attention to the CFP.

7. Gunner Stockton, QB, Georgia

Gunner Stockton continued to progress through his first season as Georgia’s starting quarterback and helped lead the Bulldogs to an SEC title. As a result, he became one of the Top 10 players in the Heisman Trophy voting this year.

Stockton proved to be a threat with both his arm and his legs throughout his junior season. He completed 70.7% of his passes for 2,691 yards and 23 touchdowns, to five interceptions, in the air while rushing for 442 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.

8. Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss

After Austin Simmons’ injury this year, Trinidad Chambliss stepped in as Ole Miss’ starting quarterback. The Ferris State transfer was impressive, and he became a Top-10 finisher in the Heisman Trophy voting as a result.

Chambliss completed 65.5% of his passes for 3,016 yards and 18 touchdowns, to just three interceptions. He helped lead Ole Miss to the College Football Playoff, and the Rebels will host Tulane in a first-round game.

9. Caleb Downs, safety, Ohio State

Considered one of the top defensive players in the country, Caleb Downs was the centerpiece of Ohio State’s top-ranked unit this year As a result, he came in the Top 10 of the Heisman Trophy voting.

Downs put together another huge season at Ohio State after transferring from Alabama, totaling 60 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and a sack, along with two interceptions. The Buckeyes came in at No. 2 in the final College Football Playoff rankings, securing a first-round bye.

10. Haynes King, QB, Georgia Tech

One of the nation’s top dual-threat quarterbacks, Haynes King finished 10th in the Heisman Trophy voting. He put together another standout season for Georgia Tech this year as he used both his arm and his legs.

King completed 71.7% of his passes for 2,697 yards and 12 touchdowns, to five interceptions, while adding 922 rush yards and an ACC-leading 15 rushing touchdowns as well. The former Texas A&M transfer had a huge year at Georgia Tech, helping the Yellow Jackets to a 9-3 record.

The 2025 Heisman Trophy announcement will take place Saturday night in New York. Chris Fowler will host the show, which begins at 7 p.m. ET on ABC.
