Ja'Kobi Jackson injury update: Status of Florida RB revealed on Wednesday injury report

After both programs had a bye week to rest and recuperate, Florida and Georgia are set to meet in Jacksonville yet again. The stakes will be high.
Florida is working with an interim coach after firing Billy Napier following a win over Mississippi State before the bye. Georgia is looking to remain a one-loss team in prime position to earn a playoff berth.
Needless to say, the injury report will loom large. The SEC unveiled its initial availability report for the week on Wednesday, giving fans an idea who might be able to go this weekend. Let’s have a look.

Because it’s been a week and a half since each team last played, what we were going to learn about the injury situation for both teams today was unclear. It stood to reason that several names would come off the most recent reports.
Still, Florida has plenty affected. We knew that was likely to be the case based on the report ahead of the Mississippi State game.
The Gators had eight players out for that game. Missing the contest for Florida were running back Treyaun Webb, EDGE LJ McCray, defensive back Aaron Gates, running back Duke Clark, running back Ja’Kobi Jackson, defensive back Dijon Johnson, tight end Tony Livingston and defensive tackle Caleb Banks.

A few figure to be back this week. Jackson might be the biggest name to watch, as the team’s primary backup to Jadan Baugh.
For Georgia, five players missed the contest against Ole Miss. Some could be back for the Florida game.
Those players were tight end Ethan Barbour, wide receiver Talyn Taylor, defensive back Kyron Jones, offensive lineman Malachi Toliver and receiver Thomas Blackshear. Be sure to monitor further status changes throughout the week.
Florida and Georgia are set to meet at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game will be broadcast nationally on ABC.
