3-star ATH JT Smith Jr. announces commitment date
Cornelius (N.C.) William Amos Hough three-star athlete JT Smith Jr. will be announcing his commitment on Jan. 23. He revealed the news Sunday over social media.
Smith Jr. is the No. 1,851 overall prospect and No. 93 athlete in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
On3 rates Smith Jr. higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2023 On300, Smith Jr. is the No. 89 athlete in the country.
The North Carolina native holds eight offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Wisconsin is leading for his commitment at 69.8%.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
