Kentucky coach Will Stein targeting Oregon Director of Recruiting Pat Biondo as Wildcats' GM
According to On3’s Pete Nakos, the Kentucky Wildcats are targeting Pat Biondo to be the program’s next general manager. Biondo is currently the director of recruiting at Oregon, having a connection to new head coach Will Stein. The two could now be heading to Lexington to work in the SEC.
Biondo just wrapped up his fourth season in Eugene, being a part of the initial staff for head coach Dan Lanning. He was hired away from Texas A&M after spending just over two years in College Station. Some experience in the SEC only adds to the strong resume Biondo has.
Flashing back to August 2010, Biondo actually got his career started on the basketball side at his alma mater. West Virginia was home for around eight years. Multiple promotions were earned after joining as a video coordinator, eventually working up to Director of Basketball Operations. Bob Huggins was in charge of the program the entire time, clearly seeing something in Biondo.
