Lane Kiffin posts 'Kiffin 2026' hats ahead of Florida at Ole Miss game

Saturday’s game won’t have a shortage of storylines as Ole Miss takes on Florida in Oxford. It appears Lane Kiffin is leaning into it, as well.
Kiffin posted a cryptic photo of a “Kiffin 2026” visor and hat ahead of the game. They both appeared to be in Ole Miss colors – light blue letters with red numbers. The hat, which had a blue rope on the brim, included the mantra “B.T.A.” at the bottom.
The post comes as Kiffin’s name is front-and-center in Florida’s coaching search to replace Billy Napier. That adds to the conversation around Saturday’s game as Ole Miss also looks to continue charting its path toward the College Football Playoff. It’s hard to say what exactly Kiffin meant by his post, though.
Kiffin has been at the forefront of Florida’s coaching search from the start after the program parted ways with Napier last month. On3’s Pete Nakos reported last month Kiffin is Florida’s top choice to take over for Napier, and the rumors are swirling around Saturday’s primetime matchup at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
When asked this week about whether he is addressing the coaching carousel rumors, Kiffin said he has not done so. He’s keeping the focus on the task at hand, which is getting a victory and continuing the quest for a College Football Playoff berth.

“I haven’t even talked about it to them, and I think I’m pretty close to the players, where they walk by or they say something, you know, like, if it was on their mind, they’d make a joke or something,” Kiffin said this week. “I don’t think it is. I think that they’re very focused on what to do.
“Again, I said it’s a different age nowadays, like when I addressed it a couple weeks ago. I certainly don’t think it was a distraction since. We won at Oklahoma, South Carolina, and played really well last week. This is kind of the world that we’re in.”
Lane Kiffin also said the players are dealing with other types of noise, saying they’re getting calls from other coaches about money in the transfer portal. That’s part of the reason he said he’s not discussing rumors with him.
“You guys now are used to this, where players didn’t used to — I mean, these guys get way more of it than I do,” Kiffin said. “They get calls on Saturday after games from other coaches talking about next year and how much money they have for them and their plans for them in their system. So, I don’t think it’s that big a deal.”
