Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium will host BYU vs. Oregon State in 2028 and Arkansas vs. Texas Tech in 2030, industry sources told On3.

The non-conference matchups are the latest to be held in Las Vegas. Last season’s USCLSU contest set the all-time attendance record of 63,969 at Allegiant Stadium, also home of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Vegas Kickoff Classic executive director John Saccenti did not respond to multiple messages from On3 seeking comment.

In 2028, BYU and Oregon State will meet for the first time since 2012. Oregon State leads the series against the Cougars 6-5, which includes the 2009 Las Vegas Bowl – a 44-20 BYU victory.

In 2030, former Southwest Conference members Arkansas and Texas Tech will play for the 38th time, but only the second meeting at a neutral site. Last season, the Razorbacks defeated the Red Raiders 39-26 in the Liberty Bowl.

As SWC foes, Arkansas and Texas Tech played annually every year from 1957 through 1991 until Arkansas left for the SEC in 1992. The Razorbacks lead the series 29-8.

Besides BYU-Oregon State in 2028 and Arkansas-Texas Tech in 2030, Las Vegas will host Miami vs. Utah in 2027 along with FCS matchups between North Dakota State and Montana State in 2027 and Montana vs. South Dakota State in 2029.

On Jan. 25, 2027, Las Vegas also will be the site of the College Football Playoff national title game, following the 2026 regular season.
