LB Hudson Dunn commits to Minnesota over Michigan and Oregon

Peoria (Ari.) Liberty linebacker Hudson Dunn made his way to Michigan, Minnesota and Oregon this spring. He had official visits lined up with each of those schools as well, but after an in-home visit with the Gophers this week, he had committed to PJ Fleck.
That visit earlier this spring was key.
“I had a great visit up there,” Dunn told On3. “I like how coach Fleck and his staff do things at Minnesota. Their defense is good, they have good energy and I had a great time up there. I have a great relationship with coach Sori-Marin too.”
Dunn’s had multiple connections to Michigan. His mom, uncle and cousin went to school in Ann Arbor. He felt best about Minnesota.
“They recruited me so hard. I like the culture a lot. I like how they run things, their message to me and how physical they are. Minnesota has great competition and I can go in there and be a versatile player in their defense.”

Schools like California and Kansas State were in play too. Why now? Why did Dunn make his decision?
“I take notes on the different schools, so I always looked over those, prayed about and tried to find the best place for me,” Dunn said. “With the different schools, I am looked at all the information I had to get the best picture of where would be the best fit. It came down to the feeling.”
“All three of those schools are up there right now,” Dunn told On3. “I have great visits to all three schools this spring, I like a lot about each one and it is really close between those schools.”
Dunn is set to visit Minnesota officially on May 30.
