The Southeastern Conference has revealed the seeding for the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament following the final weekend of conference action.

Four teams have earned first-round and second-round byes, with their opening action not set to commence until the quarterfinal round of action. Six others received first-round byes.

The opening round of action will pit the bottom four teams in the league against each other.

Florida is set to face Missouri, while Georgia will take on Kentucky. Those four teams will have the hardest road to reaching the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament championship game, needing to win four games just to get there.

The teams with the double-byes, of course, will only need to win two games to reach the title game and three games to claim the conference tournament crown.

This year’s SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament is taking place in Greenville, S.C., at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. It’ll be a friendly location for the favorite to win it all, No. 1 South Carolina. The Gamecocks have been elite all season, sporting a perfect conference mark in the regular season.

That said, this tournament will put everyone to the test, with some really quality basketball teams set to take part.
