Kentucky running back Seth McGowan scored his seventh rushing touchdown of the season to kick off Saturday night’s clash against South Carolina in Columbia.

Right as McGowan crossed the goal-line, he threw the ball as hard as he could at the front row of Carolina fans behind the hedges. Whether this was intentional or not, the action resulted in a handicapped Gamecock fan receiving medical attention.

Things got ugly fast for the ‘Cats after McGowan’s score however. Carolina immediately responded with a 12-yard rushing touchdown from Rahsul Faison to tie the game, and all Kentucky could muster on its ensuing drive was a field goal. Kentucky‘s defense stayed strong and forced a Gamecock punt, but Wildcat quarterback Cutter Boley was sacked which led to a fumble recovery touchdown for Carolina on the next possession.

Now holding a 14-10 lead, Carolina cornerback Gerald Kilgore intercepted Boley and returned it 45 yards for yet another defensive touchdown for Shane Beamer‘s team.

McGowan transferred to Lexington this season after a tumultuous past five years, which included a charge for larceny during a stint at Oklahoma. Through the first five games of his final season of college football, he’s totaled 365 yards and seven touchdowns.
