Medrick Burnett Jr. dies following college football head injury in October

Alabama A&M linebacker Medrick Burnett Jr. died Tuesday following injuries sustained from a game against Alabama State back in October.
According to a report from WBRC News, Burnett was injured during a head-on collision during the game. He played in seven games this season.
Burnett’s sister Dominece James organized a GoFundMe at the time of the injury.
“He had several brain bleeds and swelling of the brain. He had to have a tube to drain to relieve the pressure, and after 2 days of severe pressure, we had to opt for a craniotomy, which was the last resort to help try to save his life,” the page read.
