After star Memphis signee Mikey Williams was arrested, additional details have emerged about the incident that led to him being charged with several counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department indicated that Williams fired a gun at a car driving away from a house on March 27, according to Memphis News writer Jason Munz.

During that incident, there was a verbal argument in the house where guests were asked to leave.

Five people got into a car and “as they were driving away, shots were fired.” Nobody in the car was hit, but a police investigation of the incident led to a search warrant served at the house in question on April 13. It was there that Mikey Williams was arrested.

He was released on $50,000 bail on Friday, April 14, just after midnight and is expected to appear in court on April 20 at 8 a.m.
