Micah Parson trashes Detroit after NFL free agency recruiting pitch

Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons took to Twitter to make something clear, he has absolutely no interest in playing for the Detroit Lions.
This came as it was reported that Detroit’s Amon Ra St. Brown is going to try and recruit All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey to the Lions if he ends up getting released. He said, “Jalen, if you can hear this, I know you played with [Jared] Goff before. Detroit might seem like a landing spot, my guy. Talk to me, talk to me.”
Micah Parsons thought the idea of Jalen Ramsey playing in Detroit was pretty funny. So he quote tweeted the report with the quote, saying, “I’m sorry no one going from la to Detroit,” with laughing emojis.
So, it seems like Lions fans shouldn’t get their hopes up that Micah Parsons comes to Detroit one day.
At the same time, Parsons probably doesn’t want Ramsey going to the Lions. If the Rams cut him, there is going to be a long list of interested teams. It’s very possible that Dallas is among them and that Parsons would want to play with him.

Unfortunately, for Detroit, Parsons’ attitude is one held by a lot of players. There are certain markets that are harder to recruit to during free agency than others. This is true across sports and is an extra obstacle for some teams to deal with.
Micah Parsons made an overture to Calais Campbell
Micah Parsons is more than happy to try and recruit players to Dallas. That, notably, has included veteran edge rusher Calais Campbell, who took to Twitter saying that he wanted to play in next season’s Super Bowl.
Parsons tweeted at him, saying, “Better put a star in your helmet big bro,” with a sunglasses-wearing emoji.
Dallas hasn’t been past the divisional round since 1995. However, adding Campbell to the Cowboys’ defense would be incredibly intimidating.
