Lewisville (Texas) five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi already had nearly 40 Division I offers as of last July. The 6-foot-4.5, 300-pounder is being courted by the who’s who of college football.

As he gears up for the next chapter in his recruitment, Fasusi has set three visits to round out the first month of the new year. He announced on Friday night that he will visit Texas A&M this weekend, then take trips to Missouri (Jan. 20) and Oregon (Jan. 27).

The in-state Aggies are first up as Mike Elko and the new staff in College Station look to make an impression on one of the best in the 2025 class. Fasusi took a pair of visits to A&M in early 2023.

Eli Drinkwitz and Mizzou will then try to insert themselves into the mix next weekend. The Tigers are currently without a commitment in the 2025 cycle, but are the back end of finalizing a top-25 recruiting class in 2024 — which features Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Williams Nwaneri, the No. 2 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Back in September, Fasusi told On3’s Chad Simmons that Oregon was one of the programs that was “going to be up there” as he began to trim his offer list down to a crop of top schools. He visited Eugene last June and came away impressed with the Ducks.

“Oregon was amazing,” Fasusi said. “As soon as the coaches saw me, they ran and showed me love right away. It was like 20 coaches and I have never felt that before. It was crazy and it meant something to me.

“I then got to meet the coaches and do a little camp work with Coach A’lique Terry. I like him a lot. He not only tells you what to do, but he shows you. Coach Terry teaches with examples and I like that. Oregon was just a beautiful place with great people.”

Michael Fasusi Scouting Profile

Fasusi is the No. 14 overall prospect and No. 2 OT in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 4 player in Texas.

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this about him as a prospect:

“Strong, physical offensive tackle with a high developmental upside. Measured in at around 6-foot-5 and close to 300 pounds prior to his junior season. Added significant size during the off-season between his sophomore and junior years. Has plus length for the position and a well-proportioned build. Registers as a solid athlete in the combine setting. Also showing encouraging improvement on the field as a junior, adding play strength. Latches onto defensive linemen and keeps his feet moving on contact. Gets a considerable push at the point of attack.

…Plays with an edge and works to finish blocks with authority. Shows good lateral quickness and plays with an improved base and balance. Also participates in track and field, sporting a personal best throw of 46-10 feet in the shot put as a sophomore, a strong mark. Needs to work on his pass set technique but has the baseline skills to be a solid pass protector with coaching and work. Younger for the cycle, turning 17 years old in the summer prior to his senior season.”

Fasusi has an On3 NIL Valuation of $132K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
