Minnesota is latest program to offer Illinois RB Jeremiah Stonewall

The Minnesota Golden Gophers have become the latest program to offer 2027 running back Jeremiah Stonewall.
The Gophers are the sixth program to offer Stonewall, joining Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, Ole Miss, and Wisconsin.
Last season, on 51 touches, Stonewall totaled 497 total yards of offense with 345 rushing yards on 44 carries and 152 receiving yards on seven receptions. He also had seven total touchdowns.
According to MaxPreps, Stonewall did not play in Marian Catholic’s season opener this past weekend against Saint Viator.
Minnesota currently holds two commitments in its 2027 recruiting class from elite in-state prospect Eli Diane, the No. 88 player in the Rivals industry rankings, as well as three-star quarterback Furian Inferrera, the No. 501 player and a top-50 quarterback prospect.
Stonewall is one of a dozen running backs the Gophers have now offered in the 2027 recruiting cycle which includes; Victor Scott (Lancaster, T), Lathan Whisenton (Midway – TX), Jayshon Gibson (Richland – TX), Dajon Talley Rhodes (St. John’s College – DC), Kylan Bobo (Tupelo, MS), Armand Stevens (Pope John Paul the Great Catholic – VA), and Taye Reich (Morehead- MN)
Notably, Kylan Bobo is expected to visit the Twin Cities later this month for the Gophers’ Big Ten opener against Rutgers.
