The Week 13 slate starts off with a key matchup in Norman. That’s where Oklahoma and Missouri will square off.

The Sooners are coming off a huge victory over Alabama last time out, which got them into the projected 12-team College Football Playoff bracket. A win over the Mizzou would further bolster their resume, although the Tigers have an opportunity to play spoiler and hand OU its third loss of the season.

After a slow start, Oklahoma bounced back well in the second quarter to take a 14-6 lead into halftime. The Sooners will get the ball to start the third quarter.

After stalling out in a goal-to-go situation, Missouri opted to send out the field goal team with 18 seconds left. Robert Meyer made the 21-yarder, which cut the Oklahoma lead to 14-6 just before halftime.

Oklahoma adds another TD to extend lead

John Mateer rattled off a 15-yard run for a gritty first down and connected with Javonnie Gibson for Oklahoma’s second touchdown of the day on the next play. Just like that, the Sooners extended their lead to 14-3 with 2:22 remaining in the first half.

Isaiah Sategna goes 87 yards for Oklahoma TD

After Oklahoma took over, Isaiah Sategna broke free for the Sooners’ first touchdown. He took the pass from John Mateer 87 yards to the end zone, putting OU ahead 7-3 with 6:45 to go until halftime.

Oklahoma blocks FG, skirmish ensues

Missouri’s field goal was blocked with 7:37 left in the second quarter, but a skirmish followed. Oklahoma coach Brent Venables was clearly upset with the officials as the referees flagged OU for a personal foul.

Robert Spears-Jennings injury

Oklahoma DB Robert Spears-Jennings nearly intercepted Beau Pribula in the second quarter, but stayed down while the trainers attended to him. He later headed to the injury tent for further evaluation, appearing to favor his shoulder.

Points came at a premium to start Saturday’s game as Missouri held a 3-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers had 78 yards of offense while holding the Sooners to -7 total yards across back-to-back three-and-outs.

Missouri’s opening drive stalled out, thanks in large part to a holding penalty, but the Tigers got a 39-yard field goal to get on the board. Robert Meyer snuck his attempt through the uprights to make it a 3-0 Mizzou lead.

Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula took the field to start Saturday’s game against Oklahoma. The ABC broadcast said he is not expected to have any limitations in his first game back from injury.
