Missouri junior wide receiver Josh Manning plans to enters the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

Manning, a Kansas City native, spent three seasons with the Tigers after signing with Eli Drinkwitz and Co. in the 2023 class. He had the best season of his career as a junior in 2025, hauling in 29 passes for 318 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

That followed a sophomore season where he caught 13 passes for 192 yards as a touchdown. Manning also played in all 12 of the team’s games as a true freshman, leaving him with one year of eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder showed immense promise at certain moments, but struggled with consistency as the Tigers’ offense sputtered in the passing game each of the past two seasons. This year, their air attack ranked among the worst in the SEC despite having Manning, All-SEC wideout Kevin Coleman and standout true freshman Donovan Olugbode.

Manning will now be looking for a new home for his final year at the college level, and will certainly be sought-after by a number of Power 4 programs.

Coming out of high school, he was tabbed as the nation’s No. 290 overall recruit and No. 42 wide receiver, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services.

He is the fifth Missouri player to announce their intentions to enter the portal next month, joining safety Caleb Flagg, wide receiver James Madison II, and 2025 running back signees Brendon Haygood and Marquise Davis.
