Nebraska, West Virginia offer On300 defensive back Davison Igbinosun

Nebraska and West Virginia both offered Union (N.J.) four-star safety Davison Igbinosun on Tuesday.

Igbinosun is the No. 147 overall recruit in the 2022 On300 rankings, and the third best player in the state of New Jersey.

He decommitted from Rutgers last week after being committed to the Garden State’s flagship school since July. He added that he is still considering the Scarlet Knights.

His older brother, Desmond Igbinosun, is a freshman for Rutgers.

Davison Igbinosun went on an official visit to Tennessee

Davison Igbinosun was in Knoxville, Tenn., this past weekend for an official visit to Tennessee.

The Volunteers and Ole Miss are two schools that are in the mix for Igbunosun after his decommitment.

Tennessee defeated South Carolina on Saturday.

Davison Igbinosun would the the Volunteers fifth top-300 recruit after Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville wide receiver Marquarius White, Bentonville (Ark.) wide receiver Chas Nimrod, Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian offensive lineman Addison Nichols and Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove quarterback Tayven Jackson.

Igbinosun had arguably the best game of his career Friday

Davison Igbinosun is a two-way star for Union, and he put on a show against Bridgewater (N.J.) Bridgewater-Raritan on Friday night.

In the best performance of his high school career, Igbinosun had over 250 total yards of offense and two total touchdowns. He had 12 carries for 205 yards and three catches for 64 yards.

His first touchdown was an 80-yard run where Igbinosun took the handoff and was virtually untouched on his way to the end zone.

His second touchdown was a 55-yard touchdown catch where he caught a deflected pass over the middle of the field and sprinted away from the defense to score.

Davison Igbinosun also has seven total tackles on defense. Union won the game 49-21.
