Netflix releases trailer for 'SEC Football: Any Given Saturday' docuseries

The SEC is getting the Netflix treatment ahead of the 2025 college football season. On Monday, the streaming giant unveiled the trailer for SEC Football: Any Given Saturday, a series offering an exclusive look at key matchups throughout the conference’s season. It’ll premiere on Aug. 5.
It’s an exciting revelation for fans of the SEC, and college football as a whole. According to Netflix, the viewers will be able to “witness the unparalleled pressure, commitment, and raw emotion it takes to be a D1 football player in college football’s leading conference.” Check out the trailer below.
The show will highlight the 2024 SEC college football season. Per Netflix, part of the draw will be “providing unfiltered access to coaches and players in college football’s most dominant conference and giving an exclusive look at key matchups throughout the season.”
Receiving an inside look at the 2024 season should be fascinating. The conference had multiple College Football Playoff teams, fresh coaches, charismatic players and a myriad of wild upsets. That’ll certainly make for some solid entertainment.
Additionally, Netflix has usually delivered when it comes to series based on sports. Just look at Formula 1: Drive to Survive or NASCAR: Full Speed. The SEC is the perfect conference to have this type of show centered around, and that was especially true in 2024.
Releasing the show on Aug. 5 is a win as well, as fans can binge it in-between playing NCAA 26 and making their plans for the season that starts later in August. The SEC is shaping up to be a wild ride again in 2025, and SEC Football: Any Given Saturday is the perfect series to kick things off.

More on the SEC, 2025 college football season
Meanwhile, SEC Football: Any Given Saturday wasn’t the only off-field excitement the SEC delivered on Monday. ESPN released the SEC Football anthem for the upcoming season, featuring Luke Combs and Bailey Zimmerman.
ESPN shared the song of choice in a release on social media this morning. The anthem for 2025 will be ‘Backup Plan’, a song released by Zimmerman with Combs featured on it back in May.
Combs and Zimmerman released ‘Backup Plan’ as a single back on May 2nd going into the summer. This is the latest collaboration for Combs with a song for the SEC while it’s the latest nod for a rising name in country with Zimmerman.
Media days is the sign that college football is nearly back. Now, when that new season kicks off in the Southeastern Conference, namely on ESPN, ABC, or the SEC Network, we know what song will come on at gametime with this anthem’s release on Monday.
