Nick Saban hit Lee Corso with a taste of his own medicine following the latter’s prediction of an Auburn upset victory over Alabama in Saturday’s Iron Bowl.

Corso is a believer in the Tigers in Week 14, and he made sure to point it out during this week’s edition of ESPN College GameDay. Evidently, Auburn’s victory over Texas A&M, coupled with Hugh Freeze’s past against the Crimson Tide, has him siding with the Tigers.

“After last week, Auburn is hot. Alabama is not. That’s a big thing,” Corso stated. “Auburn’s looking for a big upset, and they can get it, if Payton Thorne plays a great game.

“Here’s another point. Coach Freeze has beaten Alabama two times in his career. Not many people can say that. I think it’s a big upset. Watch it this week, Auburn against Alabama.”

In response, Saban had to hit Corso with his signature line, while delivering some words of wisdom for the Crimson Tide, as well.

“Not so fast,” Saban chimed in. “Adversity causes some to break, and some to be great. That’s Alabama’s challenge today.”

Per usual, Saban has Alabama’s back, even at Corso’s expense. The former Crimson Tide head coach has taken to television like a fish to water, and he’s still championing the program, even after their demoralizing loss to Oklahoma last weekend.

Regardless of their standing as it pertains to the College Football Playoff, which isn’t great following their Week 13 loss, a win over Auburn is something that’ll be paramount to Kalen DeBoer during his first season in Tuscaloosa. However, the Tigers are more motivated than ever to get a win over the Crimson Tide.

Freeze’s bunch had Saban’s team dead to rights last season, before a miraculous touchdown toss from Jalen Milroe breathed new life into Alabama. It hasn’t sat right with Auburn faithful ever since, and they’ll be hoping to right some wrongs on Saturday afternoon.

Lee Corso believes in the Tigers, but Nick Saban is riding with Alabama until the bitter end. Check out who’s right when the showdown gets underway at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
