2026 safety Niko Jandreau commits to Oklahoma

Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton three-star safety Niko Jandreau has committed to Oklahoma, he tells On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

He chose the Sooners over USC, Missouri and Washington. “Norman I’m home,” he said.

Jandreau is the No. 872 overall prospect and No. 79 safety in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 10 player in Arizona.

The 5-foot-11, 200-pounder is the first pledge for OU head coach Brent Venables and Co. since January. Jandreau was back in Norman this year and has locked in a June official visit to see the SEC program once again.

Jandreau plays for one of the top high school football programs in Arizona. Hamilton won 10 games a season ago and finished as the No. 3 team in the state, per the On3 Composite Rankings. Jandreau has a twin brother, three-star linebacker Beau Jandreau.

Oklahoma now has five commits in 2026 class

Before Jandreau, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star wide receiver Daniel Odom was the last commitment for the Sooners. The blue-chip pass-catcher chose the SEC program at the end of January and is now the No. 41 WR in the cycle.

“I am blessed to be a part of Oklahoma,” Odom told On3’s Chad Simmons in March. “Coach Emmett Jones, coach Ben Arbuckle and coach Brent Venables are great guys. They are also great coaches that have created a great atmosphere with the staff and the players at Oklahoma. It is exciting to think about.” 

Mustang (Okla.) four-star quarterback Jaden O’Neal continues to headline the OU pledge list. Committed since last June, the No. 11 QB in the nation remains in the mix, despite spring rumors that hinted at a potential flip or decommitment.

Frisco (Texas) Lone Star three-star tight end Ryder Mix, Cleveland native and IMG Academy (Fla.) three-star interior offensive lineman Will Conroy and now Jandreau round out the pledge list — which ranks No. 27 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
