Ole Miss at Oklahoma injury updates: Thursday availability report revealed

Norman will be the site of a Top-15 matchup in the SEC on Saturday morning with No. 8 Ole Miss vs. No. 13 Oklahoma kicking off from Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. With that, we have our first update to the SEC Availability Report for both the Rebels and the Sooners.
Wednesday saw the release of the first edition of the injury report for the seven games this weekend in the Southeastern Conference, with a dozen players originally noted by Ole Miss and OU. The league has since updated each of those as of this evening on Thursday, with another to come tomorrow on Friday.

Here is that updated look at the SEC Availability Report for Ole Miss and Oklahoma:
Oklahoma
- OL Troy Everett – Out
- OL Jacob Sexton – Out
- OL Jake Taylor – Out
- WR Keontez Lewis – Doubtful
- OL Derek Simmons – Doubtful
- RB Jovantae Barnes – Questionable
- DB Gentry Williams – Questionable
- OL Logan Howland – Probable
Ole Miss
- TE Dae’Quan Wright – Questionable
- WR Deuce Alexander – Questionable
- OL Terez Davis – Questionable
- S Ladarian Clardy – Probable
OU initially listed eight players on the report on Wednesday, with three being out, one being doubtful, and four more being questionable. The offensive line takes most of that hit with three already being out and two more designated among those as questionable. Lewis and Barnes are then notable on the offensive side as contributing weapons, while Williams has produced in their secondary.
Ole Miss then had half as many designations with just the four, three being questionable and one being probable, on Wednesday. Wright and Alexander are each significant at tight end and receiver, as the second and third-leading receivers, respectively, for the Rebels, which could affect some of the play of Trinidad Chambliss. Davis and Clardy are then similar listings on the offensive and in the secondary each.
