Four-Star wide receiver Andre Greene Jr. of Richmond (Va.) St. Christopher’s School reduced his list to six schools on Monday. Georgia, North Carolina, Clemson, Penn State, LSU and Oregon were the schools that made the final cut. The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder narrowed his list to six schools out of his whopping 57 offers.

Greene spoke with On3 about each of his finalists.

Andre Greene Jr. on Georgia

“Coach (Kirby) Smart is very down to earth,” Andre Greene Jr. said. “He makes me feel like I’m the only player he wants. Coach (Cortez) Hankton is one of the most family-oriented people I know. Not only do I talk to him, but I’ve spoken to his wife and kids on many occasions.”

“Coach (Mack) Brown is easy to talk, and his wife, Mrs. Sally, have made me feel like I’m part of their immediate family,” Greene said. “Coach (Lonnie) Galloway and I have developed a father-son type relationship over the last 18 months. From the time I was first offered, he has stayed in touch with me.”

Greene on Clemson

“Even though I was offered late by Clemson, it’s been one of my dream schools since a kid,” Greene said. “Coach Swinney and I have been able to talk and spend a lot of time together since being offered and building a strong relationship fast. Coach (Tyler) Grisham and I have been in contact long before I was offered. He brings so much passion and energy no matter when you talk to or see him.”

Greene on Penn State

“Coach (James) Franklin has always been consistent in his communication,” Greene said. “He is one of those coaches that you believe what he says because he is a genuine person. Coach Stubs (Taylor Stubblefield) is the kind of coach you just want to play and win for. He is passionate about not only the game but making you a better player and man at the same time.”

Greene on LSU

“Coach (Ed) Oregon is genuine,” Greene said. “You can tell that what you see is what you get. He has taken a lot of time to get to know not only me but my family as well. I love that Coach (Mickey) Joseph is so real about everything. He really knows how to connect with his players to get the most from them.”

Greene on Oregon

“Coach (Mario) Christobal is one of the nicest coaches I’ve ever met, “ Greene said. “He has reached out to me almost every day since our OV in June. Coach (Bryan) McClendon’s knowledge of the game is incredible. He has already been able to share information that I have added to my game.”

Greene is currently committed to play in the 2022 Under Armour All-American game in Orlando.
