Tustin (Calif.) quarterback Ayden Edwards most recently visited Oregon on the weekend of May 10. He had previously seen the Ducks multiple times and received an offer from the Big Ten program on Jan. 25.

During that weekend in January, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound signal-caller was in Eugene for a Junior Day. Edwards has also attended a game at Oregon.

“Some of the highlights of the weekend were being able to spend a lot of time with the coaches and getting to know them more,” Edwards told On3 about his trip to the Ducks’ campus this month. “Other highlights were the hospitality that the coaches showed me and being able to learn more about the school’s history. Coach Will Stein is amazing. I’ve gotten to spend a lot of time with him and learn the way he teaches the game. It’s awesome.”

In addition to Stein – the Ducks’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach – Edwards has spoken with head coach Dan Lanning. The talented quarterback has been impressed by Lanning.

“Coach Lanning is a great dude,” said Edwards, a member of On3’s watch list for the 2028 recruiting class. “He is super down to earth and I’ve had nothing but good conversations with him. Oregon is definitely high up on my list and it’s amazing to see what they have planned in the future.”

Last weekend, Edwards took part in meetings and rode around campus on golf carts as part of a scavenger hunt. He enjoyed his previous trips to the Pacific Northwest as well.

“My first two visits to Oregon were amazing,” Edwards said. “The energy was great and the facilities are amazing.”

“My favorite part about my game day visit was seeing the tempo,” he added. “Then, my favorite part about my Junior Day visit was being able to see the entire campus and finally meet all the coaches.”

Edwards is planning to attend camps at Boston College and SMU, as well as potentially Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State and Texas. He currently has offers from programs including Arizona State, Arkansas, Colorado, Oregon, SMU and Washington
