Pac-12 releases conference preseason men's basketball poll with UCLA as the favorite once again

The Pac-12 conference released the preseason men’s basketball poll on Wednesday, revealing that the UCLA Bruins are once again the media’s favorite to win the conference title. UCLA received 26 of the media’s 33 votes for first place, making it the third year running with the Bruins atop the poll.
Ranked No. 8 nationally in the preseason poll, UCLA returns four of their top seven scorers from their runner-up 2021-22 team.

Arizona came in second with three first-place votes and 352 total points. The defending champions start the season at No. 17 nationally ranked after notching a conference-record 18 league wins last season.

Oregon, which has won two conference titles in the last five years, is No. 3 to start the season. The only other Pac-12 squad to receive a first-place vote was Stanford, which received one vote.
