Penn State vs Michigan State preview
The Spartans are coming off a bye week, one game removed from making a quarterback change. Former starter Aiden Chiles is an athletic running threat, while backup Alessio Milivojevic showed poise and accuracy from the pocket in the team’s overtime loss to Minnesota. Will Penn State see both quarterbacks? We’ll discuss how the defense can react to either option and how it can be a dominant day on defense for the Nittany Lions.
From there, we’ll pivot to the offensive side of the ball. Interim head coach Terry Smith discussed the team’s evolution on offense this week and explained why it took so long to make changes to the game plan on Saturdays. We’ll explain how this might be a good week to see what redshirt freshman passer Ethan Grunkemeyer is capable of and how Penn State can potentially pour on the points. We’ll also discuss Nick Singleton’s breakout performance from last week and what he needs to do to continue improving.
